With the MIFCOM Server Configurator, you can build your own professional rack server component by component: You select the appropriate rack format—from 1U to 4U—and then configure the processors, memory, storage, and graphics cards to suit your specific needs. The configurator automatically checks the compatibility of all components, ensuring that every possible configuration is fully functional—from the compact 1U system to the GPU server for AI and high-performance computing.
The Right Rack Format: From 1U to 4U
The height unit (HE or U) determines how much space your server occupies in a 19-inch rack and how far it can be expanded. You’ll find preconfigured systems in all formats in the Rack Servers category. A 1U server packs maximum computing power into a minimal footprint: ideal as a single- or dual-socket system for virtualization with VMware or Proxmox, or as a compact storage server with up to two expansion cards. 2U servers are flexible all-rounders with more space for drives and expansions. 3U and 4U servers offer maximum expandability for the most computationally intensive applications, supporting up to eight graphics cards in a single system.
Processors and Memory for Continuous Operation
You can choose between single- and dual-socket systems based on the latest AMD EPYC and Intel Xeon Scalable processors, configured for a high core count, clock speed, or memory bandwidth depending on your workload. Added to this is ECC memory, which automatically corrects bit errors during operation—indispensable in a server environment for round-the-clock data integrity and stability.
GPUs, Storage, and Customization Down to the Last Detail
For GPU computing, AI training, and machine learning, you can equip your rack server with up to eight professional graphics cards (e.g., NVIDIA RTX PRO 6000). For storage, you can choose between fast NVMe SSDs—in a RAID array if desired—and large hard drives for capacity. We use only components from renowned manufacturers such as Supermicro, ASUS, Gigabyte, Samsung, and Intel, and each component undergoes its own testing procedure before it becomes available for selection in the configurator: tested for compatibility, software and operating system support, and heat generation.
How the Server Configurator Works
Building your own rack server involves four steps: First, select the rack format and processor architecture that suit your intended use. Second, you configure the CPU, RAM, storage, and GPUs, while the Server Configurator automatically checks compatibility in the background. Third, you select extras such as RAID or the operating system. Fourth, you place your order, and we manufacture, test, and deliver your system.
