A high-end gaming PC is built with the most powerful components to meet the highest demands of professional gamers and enthusiasts. Here, you'll learn what sets a high-end PC apart—and what to consider before making your decision.
When buying a high-end gaming PC, there are a few key factors to keep in mind. Choosing the wrong components can lead to bottlenecks—situations where one part unnecessarily limits the performance of another. At the same time, a well-balanced system is essential—not only for maximum performance, but also for stability, low noise levels, and refined aesthetics. Here, you’ll find answers to the most important questions:
Not every gaming PC qualifies as a high-end system. High-performance core components—especially the processor, graphics card, and RAM—are essential. However, only systems built with exceptionally high-quality components and optimized for performance, stability, low noise levels, connectivity, and standout design truly deserve the title of a “high-end gaming PC.”

Choosing the right core components—namely the processor, graphics card, and RAM—is essential when building a high-end gaming PC.
A high-end gaming PC requires a processor that combines high core counts with fast clock speeds. AMD delivers outstanding performance in both gaming and applications with its latest Ryzen 9 X3D processors, while Intel’s Core i9 series excels particularly in gaming workloads. In addition, Intel’s portfolio includes efficiency-focused CPUs from the Core Ultra series.
One of AMD’s standout features is its X3D technology, which offers exceptional performance—especially in gaming—while maintaining impressive efficiency.
Today, processors with 8 cores are still more than sufficient for gaming, even in high-end systems. However, modern CPUs no longer force a trade-off between core count and clock speed. With up to 24 cores and boost frequencies approaching 5 GHz, current processors from both Intel and AMD are highly future-ready. They deliver outstanding gaming performance while also providing enough power for demanding professional applications.
A high-end gaming PC requires a powerful graphics card to handle high resolutions such as WQHD or 4K, as well as high refresh rates of up to 360 Hz. We recommend at least an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 or an AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT. For maximum detail and performance, however, flagship models like the NVIDIA RTX 5080 or 5090 are well worth the investment.
Despite their higher price point, the RTX 5080 and RTX 5090 deliver exceptional performance. Thanks to their immense processing power and large video memory (up to 32 GB), they are capable of running the latest games smoothly in 4K and even 8K. For 4K gaming, an RTX 5080 is often sufficient. The entry point for high-end performance starts with an RTX 5070 Ti or RX 9070 XT, as well as high-performance GPUs from the previous generation, which still deliver excellent results in WQHD at high refresh rates.
A high-end gaming PC should feature at least 32 GB of RAM, with speeds of at least 3200 MHz (DDR4) or 6000 MHz (DDR5). While 32 GB is currently sufficient, 64 GB offers better long-term headroom for future games and demanding applications.
Higher memory speeds become especially relevant when gaming at lower resolutions (Full HD or WQHD) with very high frame rates. In these scenarios, RAM speeds of up to 3600 MHz (DDR4) or 7200 MHz (DDR5) can provide additional performance benefits. If you plan to use your system for professional workloads such as video editing, opting for up to 128 GB of RAM is a sensible choice.
High-end gaming PCs come with equally demanding power requirements. Systems with powerful CPUs and graphics cards typically require at least 750 W. When using top-tier components such as the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090, however, power supplies of up to 1200 W may be necessary to ensure stable operation.
Not all power supplies are created equal. For our high-end gaming PCs, we rely exclusively on premium models with at least an 80 PLUS Gold certification. Higher efficiency ratings not only reduce power consumption but also reflect superior build quality. Power supplies from renowned manufacturers stand out for their reliability and durability, ensuring stable performance even under sustained heavy loads.
A modern high-end gaming PC should be equipped with a fast PCIe SSD for the operating system and key games. PCIe 4.0 SSDs already offer excellent performance, significantly reducing loading times for both games and applications. For users who frequently transfer large amounts of data, PCIe 5.0 SSDs provide even higher speeds—although their impact on gaming load times is currently minimal.
For additional long-term storage that does not need to be accessed frequently, a secondary SATA SSD or a high-capacity HDD is a practical and cost-effective solution.

You should consider a high-end PC if you prioritize exceptionally high FPS—even at the highest graphics settings. And that’s just the beginning. For high-quality streaming on platforms like Twitch, only a high-performance system can meet the expectations of your audience. Thanks to their power, the line between high-end PCs and workstations continues to blur—making these systems equally suitable for professional tasks such as video editing.
The term “Ultra Gaming PCs” is simply another name for high-end gaming systems. True to the meaning of “ultra” (Latin for “beyond” or “exceeding”), these PCs deliver extreme, uncompromising performance, powered by the fastest components available.
If you’re new to PC gaming, a high-end system isn’t always necessary. Popular titles such as Fortnite, Valorant, or Overwatch require relatively modest hardware. As a beginner, you’ll often find the ideal setup among more affordable gaming PCs that still deliver excellent performance.
To fully unlock the potential of your high-end PC, the right accessories are essential. A low-quality monitor or an unsuitable mouse can limit overall performance. That’s why our configurator offers a wide range of high-end peripherals designed to perfectly complement your system.

High-end PCs are available across a wide range of platforms, depending on your requirements. For demanding gamers, we recommend systems based on AMD Ryzen 7000 series processors and Intel Core (14th Gen). For professional workloads, AMD Threadripper platforms are an excellent choice, offering extensive expansion options and significantly higher memory capacities.
For enthusiasts, we also offer custom water-cooled systems that unlock additional performance potential through advanced cooling solutions.
Of course, you can also build your own system using our high-end PC configurator and tailor every detail to your exact needs.
Building a high-end gaming PC with top-tier hardware is a complex and demanding process that requires significant experience. It begins with careful planning: mismatched components can lead to unnecessary performance losses, and factors such as dimensions, compatibility, and thermal design must all be considered.
Assembly can be equally challenging. Large components must be installed precisely, and complex cable management—often involving dozens of connections—is essential for both functionality and airflow. Custom water cooling adds an additional layer of complexity, requiring precise tube bending, component modification, and thorough leak testing.
By choosing a professionally built high-end PC from MIFCOM, you eliminate these challenges entirely. Our systems are expertly assembled, thoroughly tested, and backed by a comprehensive warranty—giving you maximum performance without the complexity or risk.
Our recommended configurations for a high-end gaming PC start at €2,500. At this level, you can expect an AMD Ryzen 7 or Intel Core i7 processor, paired with an RTX 5080 and 32 GB of RAM—built on a modern AMD X870 or Intel Z890 platform.
