1U server for maximum rack density
A 1U server is a rack server with a height of one unit (1U), the most compact design for maximum rack density in a server cabinet.
With a 1U server, you can pack maximum computing power into the smallest possible space. You can choose between single- and dual-socket systems based on AMD EPYC 9005 Turin and Intel Xeon Scalable v5, with up to 3,027 GB of DDR5 ECC memory and up to 12x 2.5-inch Gen5 NVMe/SATA/SAS hot-swap bays. A GPU variant with up to one graphics card is also available, for example, for compact inference or virtualization workloads. Our MIFCOM 1U server racks also offer particularly shallow installation depths.
Typical applications for the 1U server include colocation, edge locations with limited space, and individual rack units in existing server cabinets where density is more important than maximum expandability. The 1U server is also frequently used as a compact database or virtualization host in small and medium-sized businesses, as it delivers full server performance despite its low height.
Before you receive your new MIFCOM 1U server, we internally test your system’s functionality using a specially developed burn-in test to guarantee its full reliability. Only then do we ship your new 1U server.
If a 1U server isn’t enough for you
Do you need more expansion options or additional GPU slots? Then check out our 2U server—it offers more space for expansion cards and drives while maintaining a similarly compact design. You can find an overview of all rack unit heights in our rack server overview.
Additional Customization Options for Your 1U Server
In addition to computing power, your 1U server can be customized down to the last detail. Choose from the latest SSDs as well as SATA and SAS hard drives for high data throughput, even in a RAID array. With the right RAID configuration, we ensure your system’s reliability and speed. Our sales team will be happy to assist you in configuring your RAID setup for optimal performance.
If you’re still unsure which rack unit height is right for your application, our server buying guide will help you make the right decision.
